New Delhi, Nov 29 (UNI) Country's leading education company Educomp today foray into formal school management with launch of 'The Millennium Schools'.

''To be set up across Indian cities by independent trusts and societies, The Millenium Schools will incorporate unique blend of global best practices in education and inherent strengths of Indian education system,'' company's SVP&Business Head (Schools and Retail) Sandeep Singal told reporters here.

Millennium Schools will be powered by the Millennium Learning System (MLS), country's first fully integrated learning delivery system for schools developed by the company.

MLS was developed after 80,000 man hours of research and development that aims to change the teaching-learning process making it much more meaningful, educomp Solutions Ltd Managing Director Shantanu Prakash said.

The company will tie-up with schools on a revenue sharing basis, said Mr Singal without giving further details.

The company targets to set up a pan-India chain of around 100 schools over the next three to four years, with first two Millenium schools being opened at Mohali and Noida this year.

''We estimate to set up about 20 Millenium schools by June 2009,'' Mr Singal said.
