Coordinator appointed to maintain liason between CRPF,state police

Kolkata, Nov 29(UNI) With reports of lack of coordination between the CRPF and state police pouring in from Nandigram, a coordinator, appointed by the West Bengal Government will maintain liason between THE two forces to help restore peace in the strife-torn area.

'' There are reports of cooridnation problems. A high-level state police officer, who has been appointed as a coordinator, will be liasoning between the two forces,'' Home Secretary Prasad Ranjan Ray said today.

Yesterday, CPI(M) Central Committee member Shyamal Chakraborty had alleged that CRPF jawans were torturing CPI(M) supporters at the behest of Trinamool Congress activists.
