Congress concerned at well being of ethnic Indians in Malaysia

New Delhi, Nov 28 (UNI) The Congress today expressed concern at the "well being" of People of Indian Origin(PIO) in Malaysia, asking that government to address their concerns with a sense of urgency.

AICC Spokesman Shakeel Ahmad told newspersons here that the party has got in touch with the Ministry of External Affairs in this regard.

Mr Ahmad, who is also Minister of State for Information Technology and Telecommunications, said Indians settled in that country are known for their good behaviour.

Ethnic Indians have clashed with police in the South East Asian nation demanding electoral reforms and eonomic equality.
