Centre approves four lane projects in AP

Hyderabad, Nov 29 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Transport and Highway K H Muniappa today said the Centre has given the green signal for taking up of four lane projects on the highways at the cost of Rs 3,000 crore in Andhra Pradesh.

Speaking to newspersons here after calling on Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy at the Secretariat, Mr Muniappa said the four lane projects would be taken up on National Highway 9, between Hyderabad-Vijayawada-Machilipatnam, Kadapa-Kurnool and Tirupathi-Chennai highways covering 600 km.

He said tenders for the projects would be floated next month and the work would be completed by 2009-10.
