BJP praises Raj Govt for hospitality to Taslima
Jaipur, Nov 29 (UNI) Rajasthan BJP President Dr Mahesh Sharma today showered praises on the Vasundhara Raje Government for the security and hospitality accorded by it to controversial Bangladeshi author Taslima Nasreen during her brief stay in the state.
He also condemned the West Bengal Government for Ms Nasreen's ''forced eviction'' from Kolkata.
Talking to mediapersons here today, Mr Sharma said the West Bengal government ''virtually evicted the Bangla writer'' from Kolkata without giving her an opportunity to carry even clothings and documents like passport.
Contrary to this, the Rajasthan Government had accorded her state guest treatment, provided due security and even bought clothes for her, he added.
Despite being a valid Indian visa holder, Ms Nasreen had to go through the ordeal as the Left government in West Begal succumbed to the pressures from minority fundamentalist groups, Dr SHarma said.
