Bihar govt committed to agrarian development: Land Reforms Minister

Samastipur, Nov 29 (UNI) Bihar Land Reforms Minister Ramnath Thakur today said the Nitish Kumar led government was committed towards agrarian development in the state.

Speaking at a fair organised by the district administration to honour the farmers here today, he said the Nitish Kumar-led NDA government was taking every possible effort to keep pace with the agrarian developments in the country and was expected to declare agriculture as an industry in the state.

The government had taken several steps for the welfare of the farmers in the state, who were suffering from loss of cattle and crops due to this year's floods.

He urged the farmers and the agriculture scientists to help the government in accelerating the pace of agrarian development in the state.
