1285 megawats awaits commissioning due to gas shortage
New Delhi, Nov 29 (UNI) Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Murli Deora today said power projects of 1,285 megawatt capacity are pending for commissioning due to shortage of gas.
In a written reply in Lok Sabha, he said projects with 590 MW capacity have been commissioned but are unable to generate power due to non-availability of gas supply. He said gas required for these plants at 90 per cent plant load factor is 2.84 million metric standard cubic meter per day (mmscmd).
He said the government has received requests for supply of gas to independent power producers in Andhra Pradesh.
