The look of cinema in Mumbai is changing: Rituparna
Mumbai, Nov 27 (UNI) ''The look of cinema in Mumbai is changing,'' stated actress Rituparna Sengupta.
Rituparna is all praise for offbeat films like ''Iqbal'' and ''Dor''. In an interview with UNI, the National Award winning actress said, ''This genre of films is very acceptable which was not the case a few years ago. I would love to do films like these which are critically acclaimed yet commercially viable.'' Rituparna who is a very successful star in Kolkata has worked with stalwarts like Aparna Sen,Rituparno Ghosh, Sandip Ray (Satyajit Ray's son), Tarun Mazumdar and Buddhadeb Dasgupta to name a few. Her forthcoming film is ''Mittal versus Mittal'' which deals with marital rape and stars Rohit Roy, Suchitra Krishnamurthy and Gulshan Grover.
Although her all time favourite is the Bollywood diva Madhuri Dixit she feels competition is very healthy which inspires one to give their very best.
Rituparna is one of the main protagonists of the film, ''Gauri-the Unborn'' which releases on November 30.
