SCBA dharna against terrorist attacks on courts in UP

New Delhi, Nov 28 (UNI) The Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) led by its President P H Parekh today staged a day-long dharna against the terrorist attacks on courts in Uttar Pradesh on November 23.

Mr Parekh told the media that the entire legal fraternity was with the bereaved families.

Thirteen people including five lawyers were killed in bomb explosions in Lucknow, Faizabad and Varanasi civil courts.

Mr Parekh also appealed to the government to enhance the compensation to the families of those killed in the terrorist attacks and assured the authorities of full cooperation in ensuring that such incidents do not recur in future.

Incidentally, no leading senior advocate of SCBA came to the site of dharna.
