Ramanandatirdha Rural Institute promoted as AP's Rural University
Hyderabad, Nov 28 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Rural Development Minister G Chinna Reddy today said that Swami Ramanandatirdha Rural Institute here would be promoted as the State's 'Rural University' next year.
Assuming charge as the Chairman of the Rural Institute, Mr Reddy said the Government would introduce a Bill in the next Budget Session to promte it as university.
He said the university would be set up at Pochampalli in Nalgonda district on par with the rural universities established in Maharastra and Tamil Nadu.
The Government was making proposals to strengthen the institute and the proposals would be sumbitted before Chief Minister Y S Rajasekahra Reddy soon, he added.
