Patna, Nov 28 (UNI) Steel and Fertiliser Minister Ram Vilas Paswan today warned thundered that he would quit from the Union Cabinet if his claim on release of fertiliser to Bihar in excess of its quota proved wrong.
Addressing a party rally here, he also dared Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to resign from his post in the events of facts turning out otherwise.
Mr Paswan said the Centre was releasing fertiliser to Bihar in excess of its quota and also cited the data in this regard.
'' As a Union Minister, I have the responsibility to inform the people of Bihar about the quautum of fertiliser released to it by the Centre, '' he stated.
He blamed the Nitish Kumar government for scarcity of fertiliser in the state and said it was the result of its blackmarketing causing great hardship to the farmers of Bihar.
'' Despite repeated requests by me, the NDA government in Bihar has failed to check blackmarketing of fertiliser in the state, '' he lamented.
