Four of family die in road mishap in HP

Mandi, Nov 28 (UNI) Four persons of a family, including two children were killed when the motorcycle in which they were travelling was hit by a speeding truck on National Highway 21, near Ner Chowk here today.

The deceased had been idenfitied as Nand Lal (36), his wife, Rekha (26), son, Jassi (5) and daughter, Komal (2).

According to police reports, a rope hanging at the rear of the speeding truck loaded with empty LPG cylinders got entangled around the the neck of one of the pillion riders. This resulted in the motorcycle skidding and hitting the truck.

Though the victims were rushed to hospital but they died on the way.

A case has been registered in the Balh police station against the truck driver.
