Fisherman demands MBT

Puducherry, Nov 28 (UNI) The Joint Action Committee of Fishermen Organisation here urged the territorial government to recognise them as Most Backward Tribes (MBT).

Committee convener M Ellango, in a release today said they had submitted a representation to Chief Minister N Rangasamy in this regard.

In their representation, they also sought ten per cent reservartion to them in education and employment.
