Boy suffers mental agony as teacher forces him to apologise

Chennai, Nov 28 (UNI) An eight-year-old boy of Kendriya Vidyalaya, IAF Tambaram, was mentally disturbed as his class teacher forced him to tender an apology to his classmates for his ''misbehaviour'' in the class.

The boy in third standard, was punished by his class teacher, as he stood up on the bench during interval.

The boy pleaded not guilty, but the teacher asked him to stand before everyone in the class and apologise.

He felt humiliated as some of the boys laughed at him.

In a shocking incident, a ninth standard girl of a school in Krishnagiri, had allegedly committed suicide by hanging, after her class teacher had asked other girls to severe ties with her for moving close to the school coach.

In a ten-page suicide note, she blamed the class teacher and class leader for her decision to end her life.

In yet another incident, an eighth standard boy of a private school in Royapuram suffered head injury, when the class teacher assaulted him for having lunch without completing the home work.

The Police have registered cases and is investigating.
