Bomb scare in Imphal

Imphal, Nov 28 (UNI) A bomb scare in Manipur's capital city today sent the police into a tizzy.

Police said there was a report of a bomb being placed at the busy Thangal bazar area. All shop keepers downed their shutters and police cordoned off the area.

However, it proved to be a hoax.

Meanwhile, a bomb was found at Petchi in Thoubal district and the bomb squad detonated it.

Recently, there was a bomb blast at the busy Paona Bazaar in which a man died and four others received injuries. A blast at Imphal East led to the injury of three escorts of Deputy Speaker Th Shyamkumar.
