Bajaj Allianz offers special insurance cover to women

New Delhi, Nov 28 (UNI) Country's leading insurance company Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance today said it will give up to Rs one lakh insurance cover to housewives/homemakers.

''Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance will offer life insurance to housewives/homemakers up to Rs one lakh without confirming if their husband has insurance,'' a statement said.

Launching the first of its kind initiative in Indian Life Insurance industry, company CEO Kamesh Goyal said, ''over 25 per cent of our policyholders are women and in the current fiscal, we have already issued over four lakh policies to women. This new initiative will help us reach out to many more housewives/homemakers and help them secure themselves as well as their families' future.'' The company has recently set up an exclusive vertical for women and children to reach out to the women customers with customised products and servicing needs, the statement added.

It offers lower premium rates/mortality charges, with exclusive women centric health riders, accidental disability riders and would shortly come up with insurance solutions coupled with health and investment plans exclusively for women.
