Sonia Gandhi to address four public meetings on Dec one

Rajkot, Nov 27 (UNI) Congress president Sonia Gandhi will address four campaign meetings for the first phase of the upcoming state assembly elections in South Gujarat and Saurashtra on December 1.

During her day-long visit, Sonia is also scheduled to address a public meeting at Jasdan in Rajkot district, All India Congress Committee (AICC) spokesman Mohan Prakash told reporters here today.

He alleged the Modi government had failed to protect the interests of the downtrodden, farmers and the rural masses.

Prakash asserted that the congress would emerge victorious in the polls.

When asked about the resentment among congress workers over allocation of tickets, he admitted that there were differences but the matter had been sorted out amicably.
