Prominent Telugu books should be translated to Hindi

Tirupati, Nov 27 (UNI) Hindi Academy Chairman Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad today said that all the promiment Telugu books should be translated into Hindi to promote Hindi.

Addressing a press conference, Mr Prasad, who was here to participate in the ongoing Basha Brahmotsavams, said the State and Central Governments had been taking special care to develop and promote Hindi, and as part of this, awareness camps would be conducted at all five universities in the State- Sri Venkateswara, Osmania, Kakatiya, Andhra and Nagarjuna.

Under 'Hindi Vikasani', the research survey programme on collection of books, selected books would be given cash award of Rs 3,000 each.

UNI
