One killed, 50 injured in fog-related road accidents

Phagwara, Nov 27 (UNI) One person was killed and 50 others injured in different road accidents which occurred due to thick fog in and around Phillaur today.

The deceased was identified as Joga Singh. The injured, including women and children, were admitted to different hospitals.

The accidents occured when a truck rammed in to a parked truck on the GT Road and other vehicles following it dashed against these collided vehicles. As many as 19 vehicles were damaged in these accidents, reports said.

Poor visibility due to thick fog was said to be the cause of these accidents, the police said.
