day-long
international
seminar
on
the
life
and
literature
of
Tamils
living
abroad
and
in
India
would
be
held
here
on
December
1.
The seminar, jointly organised by the department of Tamil Reserarch of St Josephs college and leading Tamil portals www.tamilthinal.com and www.tamilwriters.com. would be attended by 30 delegates from Germany, Canada, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia Sri Lanka and India.
''The main objective of the seminar is to study the life and literature of Tamils who have migrated from Tamil Nadu to other States in the country and various foreign countries in search of greener pastures,'' St Josephs College Principal and chief organiser of the seminar Rev Dr Rajarathinam told mediapersons, here yesterday.
He said the Tiruchirapalli Tamil Sangam would felicitate foreign Tamil scholars taking part in the seminar on December 2.
