Chennai, Nov 27 (UNI) The Madras High Court today granted anticipatory bail to TNCC president M Krishanasamy's son and Congress MLA Dr M K Vishnu Prasad in the case relating to the stabbing of State Youth Congress Chief ''Mayura'' S Jayakumar on November 11.

While granting bail, Justice R Reghupathi directed him to appear before the investigation officer as and when required and execute a bond of Rs 10,000 and two sureties for a like sum before the 13th Egmore Metropolitan Magistrate.

The court, which had restrained the police against arresting Dr Vishnu for two weeks during its earlier hearing, granted bail after the prosecution submitted that though Dr Vishnu Prasad's name figured in the FIR, he was not involved in the attack.

It may be recalled that following the attack, police have registered cases against 19 people and cited Dr Vishnu Prasad as the main accused. Apprehending arrest, he had sought anticipatory bail and contended that he was not involved in the attack.
