Eighth class student dies after being hit by vehicle in N Delhi

New Delhi, Nov 27 (UNI) An eighth class student of a North Delhi school today died, while another school boy was injured after the motorcycle in which they were travelling was hit by a van at Narela in North Delhi.

Ashish, an eighth standard student at the Jai Bharat Mata School in Narela, and Sumeet, a ninth class student at the Vivekanand school, were going to their schools on a motorcycle when a Maruti van hit them from behind near Narela at 0830 hours, the police said.

While Ashish died on the spot, Sumeet was admitted to Jaipur Golden hospital.

The driver of the Maruti van fled the spot, the police added.
