Flower prices shoot up, thanks to wedding season

New Delhi, Nov 26, 2007 : With the wedding season kick starting early this week prices of flowers have jumped by three times. Traders say that the demand for flowers has gone up by almost 20-25 percent compared to last year.

Taking a look at specific varities, the wholesale prices of Tulip and vibrant Lilies have gone up to Rs 60 a stick against just about Rs 20 during the off-peak season.
