Guwahati: Tribals blame police for violence

Guwahati Nov 25, 2007 : Injured tribals of violent clash, which left at least 12 dead, and over hundred injured in India's eastern Guwahati, blamed the police for the incident on Sunday (November 25).

Many shops were also destroyed and some 100 vehicles were damaged in the ensuing aggression. Following the clashes, an indefinite curfew was imposed in areas between Dispur and Bashistha.
