Traders Front to join BSP tomorrow

Kozhikode, Nov 26 (UNI) The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP)-led by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati seems to be gradually gaining foothold in the South with a 40,000-member 'Traders Front' today announcing its plan to join the party.

Talking to media persons here Kerala Chrukida Vyapari Vyavasayi Samyukta Sangham (KCVVSS) President K J Tomy said the organisation would formally join the BSP at a function here tomorrow. The party National General Secretary Suresh Mane would inaugurate the function, he added.

Mr Tomy said, ''the decision was taken after realising that the BSP was the only party, capable of protecting the interests of small traders from the onslaught of the multinationls, who were foraying into the retail sector in the country''.

The Congress (Secular)-led by Paithal Padannakkandi would finalise its tie-up with the BSP tomorrow.
