Review meets begin in 5 divisions of eastern UP

Varanasi, Nov 26 (UNI) Review meetings today commenced in 17 districts of five Eastern Uttar Pradesh divisions, including Varanasi and Mirzapur.

The meets, to be held in two phases, would review the development work and law and order situation.

UP cabinet secretary Shashank Shekhar Singh, chief secretray P K Mishra, Director General of Police (DGP) Vikram Singh and senior officials of the home department were also present in the meetings.

Chief Minister Mayawati may attend the review meets, sources said.

Meanwhile, tight security arrangements have been made in Chaukaghat area, where the review meetings are being held, following serial blasts in three UP court's on November 23.

UNI
