Passenger held at airport with 200 ornamental fish
Chennai, Nov 26 (UNI) The customs officials today seized 200 ornamental fish, valued at Rs two lakh in the international market, from a passenger at Anna international airport here.
Airport sources said the passenger Mohammed Nadirshah (39), hailing from Pudukottai in Tamil Nadu, arrived at the airport from Kuala Lumpur in an Air India flight.
He was picked up by the customs officials while trying to transit through Green channel.
On perusing his luggage, the officials came across polythene covers with 200 live ornamental fish hidden inside it.
Meanwhile, a unclaimed suitcase was found near the customs clearance counter at the airport with 460 latest english film DVDs, the sources added.
