NCP blames Bihar government for black-marketing of fertilisers

Patna, Nov 26 (UNI) The Bihar unit of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) today alleged that the state government was responsible for the black-marketing of fertilisers following which the farmers were forced to buy them at exhorbitant rates.

NCP state president Upendra Kushwaha told newspersons here that the farmers were facing hardships due to the black-marketing of fertilisers and alleged that the state government was politicising the issue.

He said the problems of the farmers had further compounded as the government had failed to assess the damages sustained due to floods.

Mr Kushwaha said his party would demonstrate before the district headquarters on November 30 to redress the grievances of the farmers.

Meanwhile, former MP Jalaluddin Ansari demanded immediate supply of fertilisers to the farmers and asked the state government to check its black-marketing.
