HC directs govt to file affidavit on coconut procurement

Kochi, Nov 26 (UNI) Kerala High Court today directed the state government and the Kerafed to inform the court the date from which the state intended to procure raw coconut.

Mr Justice Thottathil B Radhakrishnan gave the direction, while hearing the writ petitions, challenging the ban on palm oil import through Cochin Port.

The court directed the state and the Kerafed to file an affidavit in this regard by November 28.

The direction was given after the Kerafed informed the court that the government was planning to procure raw coconut.
