Srinagar, Nov 26 (UNI) The Kashmir valley remained cut off from the rest of the world by air as almost 15 flights, including the one carrying the Haj pilgrims, were cancelled due to heavy fog today.

Airport sources told UNI that no flight could either land or take off from the Srinagar Airport due to heavy fog cover in the area since early this morning.

Giving details, they said the heavy fog forced cancellation of all the flights of Jet Airways, Indian, SpiceJet, GoAir, Kingfisher, Jetlite and Deccan.

Some of these airlines operate two flights during the day.

An Indian flight, carrying Jammu and Kashmir Haj pilgrims to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, was among those cancelled.

The Haj flights for coming three days have been rescheduled as the pilgrims, supposed to leave today, would now undertake the holy journey tomorrow.

While those Haj pilgrims leaving from here tomorrow would now take the flight on Wednesday and those scheduled to depart from here on November 28 would soon be intimated of the new date.
