Gulf Oil to set up IT Park in K'taka

Bangalore, Nov 26 (UNI) The Hindujas-owned Gulf Oil Corporation will set up an IT park in Yelahanka, on the outskirts of the city.

A company release said the State Single Window Agency had cleared a proposal to set up the state-of-the-art mixed use IT park on a 40-acre-plot.

The park would also have hotels, apartments, retail chains, multiplexes and other facilities.

Located seven km from the new Bangalore International Airport coming up at Devanahalli, the park would provide full facilities to knowledge industry players.

The actual development of the park would be jointly done by Gulf Oil Corporation Limited ( GOCL ) and Asia Properties Development Ltd ( APDL ), the Hinduja Group's property arm.

The GOCL had also announced the development of a Knowledge City in Hyderabad, spread over 100 acre, for which the company had sought necessary approvals from Andhra Pradesh Government, the release added.
