Govt to bring scheme for relief, rehab. of rape victims: Renuka

New Delhi, Nov 26 (UNI) The government is considering a scheme for the relief and rehabilitation of rape victims under which they would be provided a maximum relief or Rs 2 lakh.

The Ministry of Women and Child Development is considering the scheme which would have an outlay of Rs 201 crore under the eleventh plan period, women and child development minister Renuka Chowdhury told the Rajya Sabha in a written reply.

She said the proposal for approval of the scheme by Expenditure Finance Committee is now under finalisation.
