Conditional bail for four in 'YC Chief assault case'

Chennai, Nov 26 (UNI) The Principle Sessions Court today granted conditional bail to four accused in a case relating to the assualt of Youth Congress President Mayura Jayakumar.

Recently, Mr Mayura Jayakumar was assaulted at the TNCC headquarters in Chennai.

On his complaint, police registered a case against Mr Vishu Prasad, MLA, son of TNCC President Krishnasamy and a few others.

The police arrested one Williams, Chennai Municipal Corporation Councillor, and his accomplices Saravanan, Nicholson, Ratnasamy alias Rajinikanth and Mohan.

Subsequently, Williams and other accused filed a bail petition in the Principal Sessions Court.

When the petition came up for hearing today, the Judge Ms Aruna Jagadeesan dismissed Williams' bail application and granted unconditional bail to the other accused.

Williams' bail applications was rejected twice.
