Bodo MP condemns Guwahati incident on Adivasis

New Delhi, Nov 26 (UNI) Bodoland territory lone Lok Sabha MP S K Bwiswmuthiary today strongly condemned ''the most unfortunate and terrible incident that took place between Adivasi demonstrators and the locals in Guwahati.'' The MP from Kokrajar also condemned the total failure of the District police and the administration in controlling the situation which led to the deaths of some people, while injuring many.

He demanded the authorities to inquire into the incident immediately and to bring the culprits to book and to provide adequate amount of ex-gratia to the families of persons killed and injured in the incident.

He extended his condolences to the bereaved families and urged the Adivasi leaders, organisations and people of Assam to maintain peace and harmony.
