'Bangalore Habba' from November 30

Bangalore, Nov 26 (UNI) The seventh edition of 'Bangalore Habba' the ten-day cultural extravaganza will be held in the city from November 30 to December 9.

Artistes' Foundation for the Arts (AFFA), Trustee Nandini Alva told newsmen here today that 'every year we try to create newer and newer activities at the festival. This festival not only bring to the fore the spirt of Bangalore, but also serves as a key platform to showcase talent, be it Dance, Music etc she said.

Kannada and Culture and Tourism Secretary, Karnataka Government, I M Vittal Murthy said that the festival was being organised to promote public and private participation to spread the essence of State's culture. Renowned musicians including Dr L Subramaniam and Ambi Subramaniam, Aditi Mangaldas, Taufiz Qureshi, Ronu Majumdar and Kadri Gopinath, Dr Padmana Subramanyam, Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt were among those over 400 artists who will be in action during "Bangalore Habba', he said.

The Airtel Bangalore Habba would be a great platform to promote not only tourism in the city but also helps in showcasing the rich culture and heritage of the State Mr Murthy added.
