3 held, 9 kg charas seized in Jammu

Jammu, Nov 26 (UNI) Police have arrested three people and seized nine kg charas from their possession here, police sources said today.

The trio, identified as Zahoor Ahmed, Imtiyaz Ahmed Dar and Ashok Kumar, were arrested at Jewel Chowk in connection with the smuggling charas, the sources said.

The consignment, concealing under the back seat of the TATA Sumo, was being smuggled from Kulgam (Kashmir).

The police had lodged a case against the arrested people under various sections of the relevant Acts, the sources added.
