17 file nominations in Vadodara

Vadodara, Nov 26 (UNI) Gujarat minister Bhupendra Lakhawala and AICC secretary Siddharth Patel were among 17 candidates who filed their nomination papers today in Vadodara which would go to polls in the second phase on December 16.

Three-time winner Lakhawala filed his papers for the prestigious Vadodara city, while Congress candidate Patel filed his nomination papers for Dabhoi seat.

Other prominent leaders who filed their papars today included BJP's state Yuva Morcha general secretary Jigar Inamdar (Savli) and sitting party MLAs Jashubhai Bhil (Naswadi-st) and Upendrasinh Gohil (Vadodara rural).

With this the total of nomination papers filed for the 13 Assembly seats in the district has risen to 19.
