Patna, Nov 25 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today asserted that the youth played an important and very special role in achieving the goal to develop the country by 2020.
Addressing a function organised to mark the 59th anniversary of the NCC, Mr Kumar said the NCC inculcated discipline and patriotism among the youth.
Describing the youth as the future of the nation, he exhorted them to concentrate in achieving overall development.
He said the youth were full of zeal and enthusiasm and appealed to them to contribute to the peace and prosperity of the country.
Mr Kumar reiterated that the youth would have to discharge an important role in the state's development by 2015 and the nation by 2020.
He outlined the state government's schemes, especially for the youth, saying that his government was committed for the development of the class.
Besides uplifting the educational environment, the state government was also concentrating on promoting the art, culture and sports, keeping in mind the youth of the society.
