Govt not to spare anybody in DPEP scam: Minister

Tirupati, Nov 25 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Minister for 'Sarva Siksha Abhiyam' (SSA), District Primary Education Programme (DPEP) and Public Libraries, M Hanumantha Rao has said the government will not spare anybody, official or non-official if found guilty in the Rs 14.98 crore of DPEP scam.

Mr Rao, who arrived here today to attend various programmes in the city told reporters that the CID and Venkataram Reddy Commission were inquiring into the scam and the properties of the prime accused in the multi crore scam, had also been seized.

To prevent lapses and misappropriation of funds, he said the transactions of SSA were being operated from a single bank in all districts and the audit was being maintained strictly in the concerned districts.
