TN farmers hit by urea shortage: Ravichandran
New Delhi, Nov 23 (UNI) Mr S Ravichandaran (MDMK) today urged the Centre to ensure the availability of urea and fertiliser in Tamil Nadu as the farmers of the state had been badly affected by shortage of these vital inputs.
Raising the issue in the Lok Sabha during zero hour, he said there was a shortfall of about seven million tonnes of urea and fertiliser.
Mr Ravichandran also wanted measures to check hoarding of these commodities.
