Sugar prices decline further
Navi Mumbai, Nov 24 (UNI) Wholesale spot sugar prices today slashed further owing to lack of demand, traders at the Bombay Sugar Merchant's Association said.
Prices of small grade and medium grade fell by Rs 2 and Rs 5 per quintal respectively because of sluggish demand by bulk consumers.
Sugar in ex-mill small grade was up by Rs 5 while medium grade down was by Rs 3 per quintal due to thin buying support, traders added.
Following are the spot wholesale rates per quintal: Small grade: Rs 1,323/1,386, Medium grade: Rs 1,365/1,485.
Ex-mill Small grade: Rs 1,295/1,320, Medium grade: Rs 1,342/1,400.
