Pilgrims take holy dip on occasion of 'Karthika Poornima'

Machilipatnam, Nov 24 (UNI) Around one lakh pilgrims took holy dip in Bay of Bengal at Manginapudi beach in Krishna district on the occasion of 'Karthika Poornima' today.

Later, they offered special 'poojas' to Lord Nagareswara Swamy (Siva) in Datha Rameswaram and to Lord Panduranga Swamy in Chilakalapudi.

Police had made elaborate security arrangements.The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation operated special buses between Machilipatnam and Manginapudi beach for the convenience of the pilgrims.
