Lawyers boycott court in protest against UP blasts
Gulbarga, Karnataka, Nov 24 (UNI) Lawyers boycotted court proceedings in the district today, in protest against yesterday's serial bomb blasts in court premises in Uttar Pradesh, in which four lawyers were killed.
Lawyers in Gulbarga, Shahapur, Shurpur and Chittapur took out processions shouting slogans against the attacks. Functioning of the courts, including District and Taluk Courts, was affected.
Bar Association President Basavraj Chincholi, who led the agitation in Gulbarga, submitted a memorandum to Deputy Commissioner P K Pandey seeking security at all courts to prevent such incidents.
According to reports, in Belgaum District lawyers boycotted court and took out a procession.
