Lawyers Boycott Court in protest against bomb blast in UP

Gulbarga, Nov 24 (UNI) Lawyers in Gulbarga, Shahapur, Shurpur and Chittapur in this District boycotted court proceedings today in protest against the serial bomb blast in the premises of courts in Uttar Pradesh in which four Lawyers were killed yesterday.

Lawyers took out processions shouting slogans against the attacks. Functioning of the Courts, including District and Taluk Courts, were affected following the agitation.

Bar Association President Basavraj Chincholi, who led the agitation in Gulbarga, submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner P K Pandey demanding stern action against the culprits and seeking protection at all courts to ensure that such incidents will not reoccur.

According to reports, in Belgaum District also Lawyers boycotted court proceedings and took out procession.
