Japan keen to boost commerce with Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 24: Japan is keen to establish more business relations with Kerala and the milieu is getting more conducive for major tie-ups between the state and Japan.

''We would like to establish more business relationships with Kerala,'' said Kyushu Economic and Industry Department Director Shoichi Matsuya, who is leading a Japanese business delegation to Kerala.

''The delegation have visited the Kinfra Film and Video Park. We are not focusing on IT alone. We are looking into various industries like steel, automobile, tourism, robotics, environment and bio-technology,'' he said.

The 12-member delegation included Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of various Japanese industries. The delegation also visited the Technopark.
