HP Governor, CM greet people on Guruparab

Shimla, Nov 24 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Governor V S Kokje and Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today felicitated the people of the state on the occasion of birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev.

In his greeting, Mr Kokje said Gurpurb symbolised world peace, love and brotherhood.

He expressed the hope that this would foster bonds of brotherhood besides strengthening the unity and integrity of the country.

The Chief Minister, in his felicitations, said Guru Nanak Dev's teachings of love, peace, universal brotherhood and respect for all religious was even more more relevant than ever.

Mr Singh said the founder of the faith was a great spiritual ambassador who showed us the path of salvation by spreading the cult of devotion to God and compassion for the mankind.
