House committee asks TTD to go by reservation rules

Tirupati, Nov 24 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly Committee for SC Welfare today asked the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam officials to comply with the rule of reservation in appointments to its various departments.

The three-member committee led by Gangaram, while reviewing the welfare of the SCs in TTD departments, directed the officials to ensure reservation in alotment of shops at Tirumala, in Annamaya project, Hindu Drama Prachara Parishad and in potu (kitchen, and also to fill up vacancies.

Devasthanam Executive Officer K V Ramanachari informed the Committee that the issue would be discussed in the next board meeting on December 27.
