Haryana to develop freedom fighters village

Gurgaon, Nov 24 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today announced to develop Jharsa as as a model village since it was a village of a number of freedom fighters who contributed to the freedom struggle of the country.

Mr Hooda was speaking it a function organised in Sir Chotu Ram Bhawan at village Jharsa to observe the 126th birth anniversary of Sir Chotu Ram.

He announced to give Rs 7.5 lakh from his discretionary quota for construction of girls school in the premises of Sir Chotu Ram Education and Cultural Society. He garlanded the statue of Sir Chotu Ram and paid tributes to him.

The Speaker of Haryana Assembly Dr Raghuvir Singh Kadiyan also announced to give Rs 1.25 lakh to the society for contruction of a girls school.

The Chief Minister also greeted the people on the occasion of 'Gurparv'. He visited the Gurudwara Singh Sabha to pay obeisance to Guru Nanak Dev here. He was honoured with a 'siropa' and a sword.
