First luxury biz hotel chain launched in Mumbai

Mumbai, Nov 23: VITS, a new chain of luxury business hotels from Kamat Hotels India Limited (KHIL) was launched today in Mumbai. The first VITS Mumbai property at Andheri will showcase the VITS concept of contemporary luxury business accommodation for discerning business travellers.

KHIL also announced that it will launch the VITS hospitality experience in Ahmedabad, Aurangabad, Baroda, Belgaum, Chinchwar, Gujarat, Hubli, Kolhapur, Nagpur, Nashik, Navi Mumbai, Pune, Solapur, Surat, Thane and twenty more locations in the next five years.

The launch of VITS Mumbai was a grand affair, with the crème-de-la-crème of Mumbai society attending the function. Celebrities&renowned personalities from diverse fields were there to mark the occasion. A musical extravaganza set the evening afire with sizzling performances that drew the audience to the pulsating dance floor. The evening also witnessed the unveiling of the VITS logo amidst laser and fire shows and an impressive aqua performance.

Facilities at VITS Mumbai are among the best in the category across India. Its ideal location provides guests proximity to both international and domestic airports. It offers varied dining options including 'Behind Bars', a resto-bar, 'Den Area' with a dance floor, and a 24x7 Coffee Shop. Other conveniences include; a beauty parlour that would be opening shortly, a 6000 sq. ft, state-of-the-art wellness club, swimming pool, business centre and exclusive shops that will give guests an up-market hospitality experience.

The new VITS hotel chain will bridge the gap existing in the market by being present in all major B and C category cities and towns in India. It will offer a complete package of top quality hospitality services for upwardly mobile business class travellers. The VITS chain will have a trendy look, which will be reflected in its logo, facilities and services and will be the best in class.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Vithal Venkatesh Kamat, Executive Chairman&Managing Director, Kamat Hotels India Limited (KHIL), said, “It has long been my dream to create a chain of luxury hotels for the business traveller. We think it is the right time to launch this initiative, as there is a definite demand for a superior class of accommodation for the discerning business traveller today. I also believe that India needs infrastructure enhancement in the hospitality sector and with the launch of the VITS chain we are trying to contribute towards creation of that infrastructure for a growing India."

VITS has embarked on a mission to establish the newest and best chain of hotels in the luxury business hotel space. As an inherited principle from its flagship group, VITS will uphold the Kamat"s philosophy of giving the maximum value to the customers, without compromising on service quality or food. Elaborating on the expansion plan, Mr. Kamat added, “We plan to open 36 VITS properties in the next five years. We are also looking for fresh acquisitions to market the presence of VITS in other regions: with VITS spread across India, the business traveller will find a new synergy in their traveling experience."

In the VITS chain of hotels, standardized amenities will include world-class service -- from airport pickup by luxury car, to one-time registration while checking in. The 24-hour, in-room dining, contemporary ambience banquets for specific requirements, high-tech conference centers and seamless Wi-Fi connectivity on the premises will cater to all the needs of modern, business travellers. VITS also plans to include select facilities required by guests in specific locations.

The VITS marketing plan revolves around acquisition, retaining and regaining customers. Exclusively designed customer loyalty programmes for travel agencies, guests and for corporate will be announced soon.
