CRPF personnel attempts suicide in Kashmir

Srinagar, Nov 24 (UNI) A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel attempted suicide here, official sources said today.

They said, constable S S Desai of the CRPF's 172 Battalion tried to end his life by jumping into the Dal Lake here last evening.

He was posted at the passport office at Boulevard here. The reason for the extreme step was not known immediately.

Sources said people saw the personnel jumping and rushed to pull him out of the Dal Lake. He was shifted to a hospital here.
